Wordle, a very useful way of procrastinating

I “finished” my NaNoWriMo novel some days ago. Please note the quotation marks. 50K is not the end. – It’s the point where I frantically begin to wrap up the story.

That is a graphic representation of the first 58,000 words (what I have written so far) of my novel this year. It shows the words used most often. Unsurprisingly, my protagonist’s name is Sean, and his partner is called Matthew. Now, this is really fun, the results look cool and it’s useful. It’s a really good tool to see if your text overuses certain words (I mean, it is really a good sign that I have written “really” that often?).

Anyway. I should get back to writing that novel now. I think I can make it to the conclusion. I have sketched a few scenes that will be fleshed out later, because otherwise I don’t think it would be possible to write the end before November ends. And this year, I would certainly like to have told the story that I set out to tell (and not the first part of a trilogy like last year).
