I like to be working on several novel length stories at once. They keep turning up in my head, and working on several of them at the time keeps me (largely) from severe writer’s block. Here are some of the stories that I’m working on.
Chrome (working title)
James is born in working class Britain in the middle of the 19th century, but what threatens to turn into a typical Victorian novel about a boy full of hopes and dreams is abruptly cut short when James meets a charismatic gentleman who makes him a strange offer. The protagonist showed up in 2007, but it wasn’t until 2009 that I began working on his story.
Sean is about to have his life turned upside down when reality starts to get plain weird around him. Just, no one else seems to be noticing, and he is known to have an overly active imagination.
A fantasy children’s story (middle grade) that I’m writing in my native language and hope to someday publish traditionally where I live.
The Convict (working title)
A soldier and wizard is imprisoned for war crimes and is interviewed by a powerful magic user and diplomat before his trial. Their conversations will determine whether he will be sentenced to death for what he has done.
